Children's Hospices across London
Sharing skills, training and best practice across London's hospices.
We want to ensure that all life-limited children and young people and their families have access to the services they need to enjoy a full life and face death when it comes. CHaL aims to achieve this by working together openly and constructively.
Our collective skills, experience and resources help us advance children's hospice care. By sharing best practice, we seek to improve all areas of our operations, so that wherever a family receives support, the quality and standard of that care is consistently excellent.
We work together to develop and deliver high-quality and innovative education, training and development to member hospices and partner organisations. We have delivered accredited training to over 100 general practitioners in London, and run a four-year programme, funded by the Burdett Trust for Nursing, to aid nurse recruitment and retention across our hospices.
Government funding covers only around 15% of the support we need, so we rely on donations and fundraising.
