Children's Hospices across London
A collaboration of children's hospice leaders across London.
CHaL started as an informal group of London children's hospice chief executives meeting regularly to share knowledge, discuss issues and look for collective solutions and areas for joint working.
It quickly became clear that working together more formally would help our resources go further, so CHaL was established as a charity in 2012. We have since grown to cover all children's hospice care in London and some of the surrounding areas.
CHaL has a diverse board with extensive experience across the charity sector, meeting regularly to discuss mutually important issues, compare ways of working and ensure our shared resources are deployed efficiently for the benefit of the children and families we support.
Government funding covers only around 15% of the support we need, so we rely on donations and fundraising.
